Additional Info:
A private golf community in the north west Phoenix valley. One 18 hole course (the Founders Course) is in place, another one is planned. Designed by Rees Jones. Measuring 7,190 yards from the championship tees and playing to a par 72, the Rees Jones course is certain to test any golfer. Yet, with as many as nine tees per hole, it’s also accessible to players of all skill levels. Dramatic elevation changes enhance the experience. Planned clubhouse facilities are not yet in place (2007). A moderate number of home sites are scattered around the property. The practice facilities are top notch.

Summary:
An excellent desert golf course. This club is WAY off the beaten track, about 5 miles west of Lake Pleasant. The course is very good, with excellent conditions and interesting routing through (and on) a number of desert foothills. Course is relatively "gentle" given the yardage- not a huge amount of desert carry, most landing areas are wide open. My bet is they built the course with baby boomers in mind. Many of the greens are elevated (tillinghast style) with a lot of undulation. Not easily walkable given the elevation changes. Some very cheesy water features that look out of place in the desert. Certainly among the best private courses in the valley.

Customer Service:
Excellent and friendly staff. They do a very hard sell about membership, somewhat surprising for Arizona.

Similar Courses Played:
Most private courses in Arizona. This course has a very similar layout to The Golf Club Scottsdale.
