    Summary:
Previous reviews are accurate - perhaps a good beginner course, but otherwise an awful experience for a serious golfer.

No range, no rules, poor conditions, slow play, holes close together with wild shots raining down and people paying the first ball the see (often yours!).

    Other than that, it's fine...

    Customer Service:
Proshop and snack bar staff is friendly and tries hard. No evidence of a ranger on the course.

    Summary:
I played there for the first time last weekend. It's not a bad course...I think it's a decent value for the money. The course layout is pretty ordinary, with not much character. There are a few holes that go along the creek and that is nice. Look out for wild golf balls though, as all of the holes are right on top of each other without too many trees providing separation.

    Customer Service:
Very good. There is a beer girl, and the food at the snack bar is good with fair prices.

Reviewed by: rutsh, Shoots in the 80s

    Summary:
This course is perfect for the beginner golfer and, for the most part, is played by many beginners. In other words--be prepared to dodge balls (or sort through multiple mis-hits near your own fairway to find a ball), deal with poorly fixed (or unfixed) divots on the greens, and play a game that can last close to 6 hours. My complaints go far beyond the lack of marshalling, though. The course layout is terrible. It reminded me of a miniature golf course because one could conceivably stand at any given point on the course and see at least 5-6 different fairways. Having said that, the course derives its challenges from hiding the flag with elevation, extremely bouncy greens and fairways (lack of watering maybe?), obnoxiously loud fog horns produced by the neighboring gravel refinery, and a poorly marked tee box at the 6th hole. Because of a group who lost their balls in the high grass/weeds on the 1st hole (and insisted on searching for them), multiple groups had piled up and we were diverted to the 10th hole. By the time we were back to the 1st hole, someone from the course was trying to entice a couple of newbies...the pro completely ignored the 14 minute pace and took an average of 20 minutes per hole! Between the 1st and 6th hole, we had played a total of 2 hours. We called it quits once we watched the group finish up the 7th hole and then come back to the green once we had tee'd off--at 287 yards, it was very conceivable that I could hit them and not even know about it, as the elevation changed so that the flag was out of sight.

    Customer Service:
    Note sure.

There is only one toilet on the open course...and according to my sister, it is not female friendly.

    Summary:
One of the worst public facilities for the money in Northern VA. The play is horrendously slow. Tee boxes are so close to greens that my group had to dodge errant drives 4 or 5 times. Some holes are challenging and some average.

    Customer Service:
No problems here. Not enough marshalling to help slow play.

Reviewed by: Matt, Shoot in the 100s, from Ashburn

    Summary:
I play this course fairly often, although the weekend rates are a little high. Tee boxes are in pretty bad shape usually, but the fairways and greens are generally nice. Course is open and you won't get into too much trouble if you can't make the short grass. Greens putt fairly true and are kept up well. The 2nd green is being redesigned if you have ever played here before. They are bringing the slope back to level from it's once three-puttable surface. Employees are generally nice and move things along well. Weekdays it's not too crowded but nice weekends can stretch a round into the 5.5 hour range.

snack bar is okay and priced well, but don't expect anything fancy. The beer girl is back, thankfully.
