picturesque,but poorly maintained(bunkers not prepared,pin placements the same two consecutive days). Heavily sanded bumpy greens,fairways with multiple grasses.That being said,I really loved the layout(aside from the two par fives that were overly target oriented)very cool approach shots over water to greens surrounded by thebeautiful lake that is visible if not in play on every hole. with a little up keep Cypress Bend could be one of the premiere golf destinations of east Texas and Louisiana. My favorite course. I have played many courses in Dallas, Houston, and East Texas. This ranks way up there.
It helps to play this course a few times due to the fact that there are a number of blind tee shots. The views are awesome.

This must be one of the best kept secrets in golf.... This gem of a course has spectacular holes, well maintained, excellent facilities and is enjoyable to golfers of all skill levels... I have played this course 4 times, and I really look forward to coming back each time.... Customer Service:
