    Summary:
I am a member of their GAP program and it's a great deal for someone who wants to play a couple times a week and doesn't want to pay an arm and a leg. The fairways have been in great shape lately but the greens have really gotten away from them because of nut grass. Hopefully they'll get it back together. For what it is and the fact that you can play at night, it's a neat experience. Note: If you are going to play at night, stay in the fairway. If not you're hosed. Nice practice in playing conservatively. It's also not a bad price for the area (Timber Creek, Magnolia Creek etc. all in the $50-60 range and play MUCH slower). The only real criticism I have is their greens right now, completely inconsistent and with huge dirt gaps mostly on the front nine. Will ruin a good game.

    Customer Service:
You know, the customer service varies. There is one guy who is rude, but for the most part the rest of the counter people are serviceable.

    Similar Courses Played:
Bayou (Texas City), Battleground Golf, Bay Forest all similar to Beacon

    Summary:
Despite my frustrations with Beacon Lakes, I end up playing there every two months or so due to its location. The best thing you can say about it is conveniently located and that the course and staff are consistent. The course is consistengly in rough shape - and by rough I mean there is too much of it and it isn't maintained. The staff is consistently unfriendly and act as if they are doing you some great favor by letting you play. THEY LET EVERYBODY PLAY! No matter how packed it already is or how far ahead you call for a tee time, they walk anybody and everybody on.

    Customer Service:
    Non existent

    Summary:
I think it is an awsome course. I am 13 years old and I shot an 85 with 1 mulligan on the front and one in the back. I chipped in from off the green and got within 5 inches of the flag on number 10 from 95 yards away. And I really don't think that the rough is that thick.

    Customer Service:
    Service was very good.

    Summary:
Nice course. I really enjoyed it. I have not played much recently, but used to play regularly and have played many courses in the Houston area. I agree that the fees are a little steep. However, I found the course to be much nicer than the ones with the cheaper fees.

Nice club house and very clean.

Reviewed by: UMRebel, Shoots in the 90s, from Houston

    Summary:
It's not a bad little gold course, but it's not worth the money. There are better courses in Houston for less money. I do not mind the price ... for a better course. But because it is overpriced, it is usually pretty easy to get a tee time.
Nighttime golf is great, but once again, it is high.

    Customer Service:
    A little unfriendly.
