    Summary:
Totally disagree with previous review. Course was immaculate...absolutely perfect conditions and grooming. Layout was a challenge but not to the point of pain. Lots of water...don't hit the ball into the water. (I did on one or two holes...not the course's fault). Greens and aprons were one...fun to chip and putt when they run so true. Palmettos were interesting...don't hit your ball into the brush. Had a great day. Very private.

    Customer Service:
    First class all the way.

Reviewed by: kiserph, Shoots in the 90s

    Summary:
I typically shoot in the low to mid 90's and occasionally tickle the 80's barrier, but had a very long day on this course.

This place is called "The Colony", but "Waterworld" would have been more appropriate. Water everywhere. Even hidden water...

This is a penal kind of course, with next to zero chance of recovery (if you miss the fairway forget it, if you hit it long forget it, if the ball comes off the rough forget it). The designer of this thing is either sadistic or was catering to an elite few (hence why it's private?). So anyone without a scratch handicap or thereabouts really shouldn't be playing this course. You will simply not have much fun and will lose a bucket of balls getting around this thing.

Positives: friendly staff, course conditioning and facilities, 19th hole was nice.
Negatives: penal course design (too much water, very narrow fairways with little rough and very thick brush everywhere that was unrecoverable from), poor distance marking, no chance for break after 9th hole.

    Customer Service:
    Excellent
