| | Reviewed by: Kevin Mills, Shoots in the 80s, from Lombard Summary: As a former caddy of Butterfield, I must say that this course has it all. From long testing par fives, to beautiful scenic par three's. Butterfield is a perfect club that is kept up perfectly. This club takes on the prestige that the old clubs used to have. Michael Jordan has made several appearences to play this great course.

| | Reviewed by: Local Mic, Shoots in the 80s, from Oakbrook, IL Summary: This course has just hired a full time crew of arborists.
'The place is looking immaculate. The Blue Nine is the
place to be. Best caddy program around, period!
Yes, they still do wear those ugly blue+gold getups.
Located in the hear of Oakbrook, if you get to play this
place, bring your $$, your A game, and your box of Cristos,
because this is suburban paridise. And it puts Butler to shame.
Only thing that sucks is that is isn't quite as difficult as Medinah or
Butler. Of course, the members always seem to be able to make
their rounds harder than they should be. Customer Service: wtf is customer service. it''s a private club that
treats their guests like gold. just make sure that
you know to come through when the round is over
and tip your caddy nicely, even if the member "

| | Reviewed by: William Elza, Shoot in the 80s, from Lombard, IL, USA Summary: Butterfield Country Club is the best club in illinois you haven't heard about. From the almost unnoticed entrance to the stately oaks and maples that surround this majestic club, to the dark mahogony clubhouse that speaks in a low tone of graceful golf clubs of old. The three nines generously spaced thoughout the myriad of creeks, hills, lakes and willows are a reminder that this is not your run of the mill sunday tee time. I am not a member and have not played with a member, I used to be a caddie and I worked as a waiter at this club. I waited patiently for a monday to arrive so that I could do what only a few priveliged members could do. I could take a swing into it's velvety turf and walk a course so sure of itself that it doesn't have to try for a major (Medinah) because that would spoil it's ambience. You are not playing golf at Butterfield Country Club you are expierencing it and for the members that take this for granted, I feel shame. Similar Courses Played: Since I am not a member I don't want to comment on facilties but a member is not disappointed here.
