| | Reviewed by: ajavidi, Shoots in the 80s Summary: Definitely not a 5 star. Course is always in good condition but the design is questionable at best if you've played some good courses. No bailouts on some holes and some blind shots. It is a decent course but there are definitely better designs around. Customer Service: Ok

| | Reviewed by: John Smith, Shoots in the 80s Summary: One of the best courses I have ever played. Top notch conditioning. Spectacular astheticaly pleasing holes. The price is around $70 and worth every penny. Customer Service: Excellent, friendly staff not country club "fake" nice. Similar Courses Played: When the clubhouse is finished this will be an absolute top notch facility, worthy of national noteriety.

| | Reviewed by: Bill, Shoot in the 80s, from Palatine,IL Summary: If you've got some game you will love this course. It's as tough as you want depending on the tees but very fair. If you play smart golf and stay within yourself you can score but you need to think as you play. Pulling the big dog out every par 4 and 5 will eat you up. Beautiful fairways and tees, good greens and a georgeous layout. Holes wind around so theres little hitting into other fairways although a cart is recommended. As good as Pine Meadow, more fun to play. One of best in Chicago and a little out of the way so getting on isnt too much trouble.
Customer Service: Both times out there the people behind the counter have worked hard to make the round as enjoyable as possible. Must play if youre in Chicago. Similar Courses Played: None

| | Reviewed by: michael, Shoot in the 70s, from mundelein,il Summary: this course will only get better. layout great. scenic, fair if you play the required distance to your ability. fairways wide, putting surfaces straight forward. risk reward shots available. carved out of pines/oaks. enter from farmland to the smell of pines. not as impressive as whistling straights, but amazed to be in lake county. clubhouse needed, would enhance great finishing hole. great staff, handles everyone with the same degree (high). good night pine meadow. Customer Service: top rated. Similar Courses Played: great range

| | Reviewed by: Keith Lawler, Shoot in the 70s, from Waukesha Summary: Stonewall is fantastic. A great course to get away from the ridiculously crowded Chicago courses and play some serious golf. Great scenery and layout provide for some scenic and challenging plays. This course is one the best that I've played anywhere in the USA. Similar Courses Played: Some intimidating tee offs over expansive water and marsh.
