Weaving through Norther Lake County wetlands, this is the flagship course of the Lake County Forest Preserve. It is breathtakingly beautiful. Only problem is, I had a wicked case of the shanks that day and the course punished me for 4 hours straight. So many holes force you to carry prairie grass that it can really frustrate the mid to high handicapper. The sheer beauty of the place makes it all worth it though. Customer Service:
It's a full service place, they load your cart and even clean your clubs when you're done. They really know what they're doing.

This course is by far the best course in northern IL. I felt as if I was playing at county club while paying public course prices. Greens are fast and smooth. Lots of mature larger trees. Water can be found all over. From the tips the course if challenging. Big hitters beware, if you don't play it back you'll find trouble, lots of it. If it wasn't so far from home I'd play it every week! Customer Service:
