| | Reviewed by: ILOVEMICHIGANGOLF, Shoots in the 80s Summary: Hawks Head is located in my home town. It is a very good golf course with great practice facility. Always in great shape. Links style course with few trees makes it a very good course to play late in the fall when the rates are down and the leaves have fallen. p.s have shot in the 70's at Hawkshead Customer Service: very good, get their bbq pork sandwich at the turn you will not be disapointed

| | Reviewed by: Frank Kovach, Shoot in the 80s, from Kalamazoo, MI Summary: This is an excellent course for the money spent. It is an Arthur Hills design that has a links land feel to it. Its built on very sandy soil with many large sand waste areas coming into play. Greens are large and provide many bump and run opportunities. When the wind blows, which is often being about 3-5 miles off Lake Michigan the course can play very tough. Landing areas are generous but rough and heather areas are penal. No water in play, and few trees. Always in top notch condition. Varied tee areas available for different handicap levels Customer Service: Very friendly staff and you feel you get your money's worth. Similar Courses Played: Nice little bar in the Inn that's a great stop after the round.
