I visited Birchwood in September of 2000, along with 3 friends of mine for a 2 day golf vacation. All of us were pleased with the course. It is not spectacular, but it was challenging and well maintained. Some of the greens presented some very challenging putts, depending on your approach shots. It wasn't uncommon for any one of us to roll a putt well past on the downhill or leave it short on a steep uphill. The tee boxes were average. I would consider the golf package to be a bargain, considering we played 45 holes everyday, received a free dinner and drink and a 5 dollar gift from the pro shop.
