| | Reviewed by: AZGolfGuy, Shoots in the 90s Summary: I played this course for the first time this weekend. Horrible, horrible golf course - probably one of the worst I've played in the Valley including several Muni's.
The tee boxes were in passable shape, but most of the tee shots were into severe dog legs or blind shots where you could not see where you were hitting to. I'd hit a great tee shot only to find out it had rolled through the fairway into hard pan desert. No rough on this course and forced carries were the norm.
The sand traps were really dirt traps. But, the biggest problem were the greens. I've never seen more unrepaired pitch marks and dead spots on a green in my life. These greens are so far gone that I think they would have to re-surface to bring them back. It was so bad that lag putts were to an area around the hole rather than the hole itself. Customer Service: The staff was friendly in the pro shop, but the marshalls didn't do much and nobody offered any assistance after our round was over. We just turned in the cart and left. Similar Courses Played: There are much better courses in the East Valley at similar price points - Kokopelli, Johnson Ranch, and the Duke come to mind. Don't waste your money here.

| | Reviewed by: John , Shoots in the 70s Summary: Pretty good course if you hit it straight. There is very little rough so be careful on the doglegs, if you miss it will be a shot off VERY hardpan desert. I never lost a ball and only had one bad lie. You need to be mindful of the layout as there is water on several holes that can not be seen from the green. If you only hit 250 off the tee you will need to lay up on a couple of holes. Long hitters like me only need to be careful twice. Customer Service: Good

| | Reviewed by: Brian , Shoots in the 80s Summary: Great course for the money. Fun layout and a few interesting holes. The par 3 island hole is fun, however, way too short in my opinion. (Around 90 yards from middle tees!) I'm moving back to the Phoenix area and this course will be one of my first to play. Customer Service: Good.

| | Reviewed by: Scott , Shoots in the 90s, from San Antonio Summary: Very flat course with well groomed fairways and mediocore greens. What I hated was that there is no rough at all. I understand it is a desert course but it goes straight from nice fairway to hardpan dirt and gravel. Not even on small fringe of first cut rough to catch a ball going off the fairway. Customer Service: No complaints. Comparitive prices with other local courses. Similar Courses Played: N/A

| | Reviewed by: Ack , Shoots in the 90s, from Mesa, AZ Summary: This is an excellent course. Right now, before the heat really kicks in and the snowbirds are migrating back to their hometowns, is the best time to try this course. $25 to play, and you get lunch.
The desert layout definately challenges you to keep the ball in the green stuff, so as not to 'nick' up your clubs recovering.
Playing from the tips allows you to use nearly every club in your bag. The greens are excellent for the average player like myself. No undulating, triple-breakers if you hit your G.I.R.
The staff has been very courteous. I have played there sereral times already this spring and have found them to be nice and helpful.
The practice areas are kept up and simulate the course pretty well. Customer Service: Excellent
