| | Reviewed by: gilgolfer, Shoots in the 70s Summary: Aquila is an incredible quality golf course for a Muni. It is a championship design with large landing areas and many bail out areas. The greens are large, moderately undulating, good speed and putt true to the read. The greenside bunkers can be deep and challenging. Overall a fun course to play and especially low cost for out of town visitors. Customer Service: The people in the club house were friendly and helpful for arranging tee times. Similar Courses Played: TPC Desert Course. Papago Golf Club.

| | Reviewed by: NOLAgolf, Shoots in the 70s Summary: I played the 18-hole course several times while I lived in Phoenix, and generally it was kept in good shape and provided a challenging but fair experience. What I really want to talk up, however, is the nine-hole par 3 course, which is a great place to practice your game. It's rarely crowded, costs less than $10, and typically you can replay it for free. I used to go over there after work and play it twice, and my wedge game was in the best shape of its life. Customer Service: Great. Nice folks.

| | Reviewed by: stinkanimal, Shoots in the 100s Summary: Nice overall flat course with little in the way of large trees. Mostly schrubs and desert. Played there one time and was dissappointed that management placed our 4some in the middle of a corporate tourney. They should have informed us of this with the option of a different time...
Greens and fairways were in above average shape. Couple of nice long par 5's which are always fun for me. Customer Service: OK other than the previously mentioned issue.

I actually shouldn't write this due to the fact I do not want to give away this out of the way GEM. Both big brother 18 and the short 9 pitch-putt are excellent courses, well maintained and in terrific shape, wide open and fun. It is now getting known and the pace of play is slowing, however it's a fine course so get out and play this muni. Needs some improvements on driving range pretty chopped up. Customer Service: Good guys
