| | Reviewed by: Hal Lanzl, Shoot in the 80s, from Grand Junction, Colorado Summary: This is a very challenging golf course. The front nine is in the valley with trees, a creek, a lake and small greens. Somewhat a normal golf layout. Now to the back nine: you rise from the valley floor to around 300 feet above on 17 & 18. Very narrow fairways, steep slope downhill about 200 feet on #12, and back up the hill on #13. Greens are rolling and difficult to read due to the slope of the moutain. The rough on this back nine is rocks and brush so if you hit one our there, forget it, you'll never find it, so bring plenty of golf balls. Even the good players lose an average of 2 to 5 balls per round. There are sand traps on nearly every fairway and green. A great course to play if you are up to a challenge. Customer Service: Customer service is very good, you need to call ahead for T-times as the course is pretty busy in the summer. Similar Courses Played: Driving range, putting green.
