| | Reviewed by: Golfsright, Shoots in the 80s Summary: This is a typically great Jim Engh designed course that I've played about a dozen times. There are very few level lies, all but three holes play significantly up- or down-hill, and two of those have long forced carries. There are lots of doglegs, good risk/reward on lots of holes, and penalizing rough. With five sets of tees, the yardage is fine at 6942 and that includes a 650 yd uphill par 5 and a 528 yd downhill par 4. The views are great, though housing is starting to impede a little.
Course condition is usually very good, including the greens, but that may depend on the previous winter.
Why it isn't perfect: it can get windy, weekend pace is sometimes slow, small practice green with no chipping area.
Value is decent, especially for locals. I can walk 18 holes for as little as $17, or pay as much as $66 peak times with a cart. Non-resident is about $12 more.
Overall this is a great, fun course. Customer Service: Very accomodating. About what it should be for a public, non-resort course.
Similar Courses Played: Fossil Trace, Lakota Canyon, and Redlands Mesa are all Jim Engh designed courses in Colorado and they are all equally enjoyable.

| | Reviewed by: nmsheck, Shoots in the 90s Summary: Of all the courses I've played in Colorado (over 80) this is one of my favorites. The forward tees are very kind to the ladies. Great views and always in great shape. Customer Service: Pleasent employees

| | Reviewed by: Blades, Shoots in the 80s, from Golden, CO, USA Summary: This is very nice conditioned course. However, the course plays very short (don't hit the driver or the three woods off the tee) mostly because of elevated tee boxes.
Should have played all the way back...

| | Reviewed by: Turd Ferguson, Shoot in the 80s, from Your Butt Summary: Course is in acceptable condition. However, difficulty is minimal. Most holes are straight and down hill making them play easy. The price is a joke. $65 to play and ride on a cart. Arrowhead is a much better and more scenic course for your money. Not a horrible course, but not even close to the other great courses in douglas county. Similar Courses Played: driving range is uphill! Why? That is stupid.
