I play this course very often as it is a mile away from my house. The last review I see is from 2008 so I thought people ought to know that this is no longer a public course. It was bought by Canongate Golf about a year and half ago. They have put a lot of money into this course and it shows. All of the bunkers were refurbished and are stellar. Some of the cart paths have been repaved, and the clubhouse has been painted and cleaned up. Whoever owned it before really let this course go in terms of maintenance, but it is coming back very nicely. You can tell that Canongate has been around for awhile and know what they are doing. Anyhow, on to things I dislike about the course. The range is terrible, it is uphill, how are you supposed to get a good idea how your shots are going to be? It is bad for teaching and practicing. To top it off they have very poor and low quality range balls, which are a hold over from the previous cheap owner. Hopefully, that will be remedied this Summer. The staff is less than exceptional, but better than a public course. It is hard for me, since the other course I play is Blackstone and the staff goes above and beyond there. The people in the pro shop are nice, but at least one of the older guys at the starting table/range is very unfriendly. I have only seen him there on the weekends, but the older guy during the week is very nice. The pro shop is woefully lacking in any equipment. The clubhouse is pretty basic, which is fine but it would be nice if they turned the learning center into a fitness gym or something. Nothing against the guys in the learning center, but it would be nice to have that amenity. Anyhow, besides those minimal complaints the course is in good condition and getting better, and the speed of play is average to good.

Customer Service:
They could improve in this area. Still better than average.
