| | Reviewed by: Mike Farrell, Shoot in the 90s, from Meridian, Idaho, Ada Summary: Centennial Golf Course is a beautiful sprawling course layed out on a two tiered plain. The front nine holes are on the top level and the back nine holes drop down about 150-200 feet. The drop to the bottom nine is introduced with a par 3, 120 yard chip to the green waiting below. Watch out for the telephone and electrical lines though. This course has wide fairways and is very forgiving for the uninitiated. The greens are well kept. Maintenance is excellent. The course has three holes which run adjacent to the I-84 freeway so be prepared for the "wish I was golfing too" jealous trucker to honk his horn in the middle of your back swing. This is my favorite course perhaps because it is so forgiving. The course staff are excellent. There is a Las Vegas Discount store located inside the proshop. If you are in the Boise area this course will make for a leisurely day of golf. Not too challenging and yet not overly easy either. Customer Service: I took lessons from John Lewis the course pro. He was very helpful, made me feel comfortable and was always prompt to each of our 6 lessons. Similar Courses Played: snack bar serves candy and snacks as well as hotdogs and burgers. A Las Vegas Discount Golf center is located in the club house. Golf range is available and is well kept. Lessons are available.
