Summary:
The Ranch Club is the first and only private golf community in Missoula, Montana. The course is an in-land, links-style Championship 18 designed by Les Furber. I was not familiar with Furber's work but has since learned that he has an excellent international reputation. The Course has nary a tree but uses sand traps and native grasses to 'encourage' one to not let the ball leak out too much one way or the other. 4 tee boxes on every hole allow the golfer to choose the degree of challenge ranging from fair to challenging. The fairways and greens are in excellent shape and the layout offers a lot of risk/reward shots to keep the round very interesting and always unique. The club allows unaccompanied guests to play 6 times per year and offer reciprocity if your club pro calls and sets you up. The location is on a historic ranch that feels away from it all with uninterrupted views of surrounding mountains yet is only 6 miles (10 minutes) from Downtown and the Univ of Montana campus. Excellent course. Fun to play. Great place to live.

Customer Service:
met at my car by 'valet' offering to set me up on a cart. carts have course navigation/gps system that takes the guesswork out of yardage and a cooler with bottled water. nice touch.
