Additional Info:
Located in The Ridges community in Summerlin, this course replicates 18 holes of various Jack Nicklaus golf course designs. The golf course is absolutely beautiful. You can play your round from several sets of tees depending on your skill level. The course requires you to play in a foursome with a fore-caddie. Believe me, they make the round very enjoyable, and you will save a minimum of 5 strokes. Plus, you feel like a tour pro! Being from Florida, I can tell you that I was not used to the elevation changes, or lightning fast greens. The greens are hard so be sure to hit some putts and high wedge shots before proceeding onto the 1st tee.
One of the more interesting holes is a par three replica from a Nicklaus course in Montana. The bunkers have black slag instead of sand to fill the hazard.
A round can be a little expensive, but suck it up. You will really have a good time. Also, the caddies are independent contractors, so be especially sure to take care of them.

| | Reviewed by: frankdmann, Shoots in the 90s Summary: This is a $300 course, and I guess it's worth the $300 if you're interested in paying that much for it. At the time, I was a 31 handicap, so I got acquainted with many of the traps and much of the trash. Overall, a very challenging and somewhat long course. The fairways and greens were in perfect condition. There were some decent site lines to the city, and the dark-slag traps (replicating ones found in Anaconda, MT) were interesting. Customer Service: Impeccable, although they did not and do not have water jugs out there, and the cart girl left the course for the day early into our round. The fore caddy was helpful with distances * reading putts, and raked all of our traps/tended the pin, etc. Similar Courses Played: None

The course replicates 18 holes of Jack Nicklaus designed golf courses. Several sets of tees will allow any level of skill. Course is beautiful. The greens are hard and very fast, so make sure to practice your wedges and putts rather than "winging-it" during the round. The management requires the use of a fore-caddie during the round, but believe me, you will appreciate their knowledge. I shot my lowest round because I didn't have to rely on my own green reads. Lots of elevation changes and "sucker" pin placements when we played. Again, listen to your caddie for distance and placement recommendations.
One par-3 hole is a replica of a Nicklaus course in Montana where they use black slag instead of sand for the bucker fill. It's crunchy and brittle like coal. Being from Florida, I've never seen it on a golf course before.
The facility has a pro-shop, practice green, driving range, bar and restaurant.
A round of golf can be expensive, especially when figuring in the caddie services, but so is losing at the craps table. Suck it up, and enjoy your round. I'm giving it a deserved 5-star rating because of the whole experience. You can play elsewhere for cheaper, but you get what you pay for. Customer Service: A+ service. The caddies are independent contractors, so be sure to treat them with re$pect and genero$ity, they will earn it.
