| | Reviewed by: Jorgen, Shoot in the 80s, from Alamogordo, NM Summary: This is a quaint 9-hole course high up in the Sacramento Mountains, which can be played once or twice for a nine or eighteen hole round. They recently changed the layout to incorporate a brand new hole, and allowing for the first par 5 hole on the course. The 18-hole course rotation is par 70 (I believe). The greens are well maintained and VERY challenging because of their slope. One of the par 3's is a severe downhill that requires no more than a pitching wedge. Greenside traps are not a factor, but if you like to thread needles onto greens, you will need to deal with several deep ditches. The couple that runs the course are very friendly, and during hot days the temperature up there is a good fifteen degrees below that of the scorching valley. Green fees are quite reasonable. Carts are not allowed on the fairways, but still recommended because of the severe ups and downs of the course layout. Similar Courses Played: None
