Conditions are improving every year as additional funds have been put towards maintenance. Customer Service: Good Similar Courses Played: Restaurant has very good food at reasonable prices.
Pro shop has all the essentials and a friendly staff.

| | Reviewed by: nickanon, Shoots in the 80s, from Stamford, CT Summary: Stamford's oldest public course. Previously a private course. Your traditional old type of course where the contour of the land was used to lay out 18 holes. Hills, water and not too long. A really fun course where you can use all your golfing expertise. Being kept in better shape than previous years. A good golf day where the average golfer won't be swearing too much. If you can't par #17 (par 5), think about bowling! Customer Service: Good people! The starter is on top of his game! Similar Courses Played: 19th Hole restaurant is quite good!

| | Reviewed by: Bob , Shoots in the 70s Summary: Bring a hard hat !
This course is an insurance adjusters nightmare. Adjacent fairways throughout the course means missiles overhead. Almost got nailed twice.
Hilly layout, fair condition. Greens need help, especially numbers 4,8, and 15. They are relatively new and have a putting surface similar to asphalt. Customer Service: A ranger or two might help speed play at certain spots, e.g blind tee shot on 12. Similar Courses Played: None

| | Reviewed by: aubrey theall, Shoot in the 80s, from stamford, ct Summary: Despite what the board says, this course is in Stamford, CT. An old, quirky course, but fairly challenging with some good holes. Maintainance is pretty good, but not up to the level of Stamford's other muni- Sterling Farms. Tends to be wet in the spring, but the do a pretty good job keeping it green in summer. Greens are fairly good in-season. Open year-round weather permitting. Wide open- lots of parallel, tight fairways mean pay attention when you hear fore!- easy to get hit by a ball. Not terribly long, but some forced layups/ blind tee shots/ blind approaches/ dramatic elevation changes keep it interesting. Par is a good score on a couple of the holes. Water in play on several holes. Much less crowded that Sterling, so I play here lots and like it. Similar Courses Played: 19th hole restaurant has great food- no kidding.
