| | Reviewed by: jorcutt23, Shoots in the 80s Summary: What an incredible course, a real hidden gem. I have lived in Portland for 10+ years and have been playing golf for almost five years. This course is the closest to my house, but due to its supposed difficulty I had never played it until today. I fell in love with it. It is a short course (less than 6,000 yds. from white tees) and is in spectacular shape. Bunkers aren't too deep, a rarity in Portland golf courses, and the greens are relatively slow (another Portland rarity). All of the par fives are reachable and errant shots aren't penalized as much as it looks. Tons of elevation changes coming in and out of the quarry. My favorite hole was the par 5 sixth. It is less than 450 yards and the tees are built high on a ledge with a steep drop-off. A mis-hit drive left me a 5 iron into the green, a tribute to the course's short distance. I plan on playing here once a week. Customer Service: Nothing to complain about. Similar Courses Played: Fox Hopyard (East Haddam), Malone Golf Club (Malone, New York), Tallwood.

| | Reviewed by: djkb, Shoots in the 80s Summary: I've played here several times this year. My brother visited from out of state, could only play one round and this is where I took him.
Staff is friendly and professional.
Course is always in terrific shape from tee to green. Compared to other CT courses with similar greens fees, this is an incredible bargain.
Top notch from top to bottom!!! Customer Service: Terrific

| | Reviewed by: Rob, Shoots in the 100s Summary: This is the most beautiful course i have had the pleasure to play on. Everything from the tees to the green is meticulously mainained. This course is not for the beginner because of it's tight fairways. The view from this course is worth the greens fee alone.

| | Reviewed by: tom, Shoot in the 80s, from clinton Summary: This is an excellent golf course. It is now 18 holes and is in great shape. The course is carved out of a old Quarry which means the course sits deep with high walls. The high walls leave some unpleaseant lies, but this makes the course more challenging. Everybody I introduced to the course loves it, a friend from Maryland will only play here when he visits. The course is challenging but still playable for beginners. Great scenery from some of the higher elevated tees. Make sure to have lunch in the restaurant great food.. Similar Courses Played: great food
