| | Reviewed by: Eric Belair, Shoots in the 100s Summary: I played the Gary Player course early on Monday morning. The course was pretty empty, so I enjoyed not being rushed.
For the most part, this course is not very forgiving - if you mis-hit your drive, your ball is either lost is long weeds or you're hitting your approach from VERY thick rough. The layout is crazy too - lots of rolling hills and humps, meaning lots of side hill lies.
What I liked:
The course is a great challenge. The fairways were recently cut. The greens were generally fast, which I prefer.
What I didn't like:
The fairways must've been cut 10 minutes before I went out, because they were all covered in grass clippings. I'd never seen that before at any course. The course is undergoing a lot of repair - it appears that they are installing new bunkers around some of the greens. So there's several machines throughout the course. Also, the teeboxes are sometimes a long way from the previous greens. I also wish there was some way to know the depth of the pin on the green - a little flag on the pin itself or some kind of system where they tell you a number and give you a guide, like a lot of other courses do. Customer Service: Customer Service was EXCELLENT. Someone was there to take my bag and load up the cart for me the instant I stepped out of my car. The cashier was very polite and friendly and helpful. When I got back to my car, someone was there to take my cart back for me. Similar Courses Played: Tashua Knolls, Trumbull, CT

I play it every weekend from late Summer to end of season. They have a great deal for 18holes at $38 w/ cart. One track designed by R. Trent Jones and the other by G. Player.

| | Reviewed by: nickanon, Shoots in the 80s, from Stamford, CT Summary: 2 courses. A Jones and a Player. I like the Player course better. A difficult course. Built on an old apple orchard with some very challenging holes. You'll love this play even though you'll curse at least one hole! Customer Service: Very Good! Similar Courses Played: Nice restaurant!
