| | Reviewed by: penguinman331, Shoots in the 80s Summary: Very small, pleasant 9 hole links style course on the ocean. There are no real hazards on this course that come into play. Accuracy is key to shooting a good score. Short hitters will not have a hard time - you could play without a driver and put up the same numbers, if not better, than someone who did. Well maintained greens and tees. Bunkers are hard, sand is more like dirt. Fun, easy course. Good morale booster. Customer Service: Friendly people in the pro shop as well as the grounds crew. | | Reviewed by: Dan, Scratch golfer, from Grosse Pointe, Mi. USA Summary: The Abenakee Club has a quaint 9 hole golf links. Playing this links makes you feel like you are playing one of the original links in Scotland. The greens run a little fast in the dryer part of summer, however, the tees are maintaind well. The course is mostly open with wide fairways that are fairly straight. There is a good combination of long difficult holes and shorter easy holes. The links offer no real water hazards, few sand traps, and few impeding trees. However, the few hazards that are on the links are strategically placed. Customer Service: It is a private club so the service is friendly, but exclusive. Similar Courses Played: The club has no restaurant, the golf shop is nice, however only offers shirts, balls and such. There is no range.
