| | Reviewed by: Nate Mullins, Shoots in the 100s, from Salt Lake City, UT, USA Summary: Played this course several times when I worked there. It's private, only open to members, guests, and employees. A fun but challenging course that requires a good variety of shot-making skills. Some of the fairways are tight. Lots of elevation change; greens can get pretty fast. Customer Service: There is a bar cart and also a grill near the 5th and 15th tees. Similar Courses Played: Good clubhouse facilities, driving range, putting green available. Also you'll find a pool and tennis courts.

| | Reviewed by: turplyerjosh, Scratch Golfer Summary: One of if not the best golf course i have played on the east coast. A great old time golfcourse with a lot of history. Still having several square greens like the days of old, this course has a gerat atmosphere with an even better layout. Nestled in the valley of some of the prettiest mountains in Maryland the Cumberland Country Club has some of the prettiest of golfcourse sights around. Not too long of a course but driver stays in the bag a lot so it plays a lot longer than it says on the card. Great customer service, and a great golf course, i often refer to it as the cheap augusta.
