    Summary:
What a dump. Too bad because it could be a nice course if they put some effort into it's upkeep. Lack of distance markers will drive you crazy- too much guessing needed on how far you are from the green.

    Customer Service:
It's 95 degrees and humid- and all the water coolers near the tees are empty!

    Similar Courses Played:
Driving Range- $7 for a bucket- good luck finding grass to hit from.

    Summary:
WARNING !!! DO NOT PLAY this course under the current management. This is a great layout owned and run by a group that should not be in the golf business AT ALL.

This group only wants as much of your money as they can get. They will then go out, find and bully your group on the back nine...many times falsely accusing you of slow play so they can squeeze more players on the front. This has happened to me on two occasions and I will never return until the current group sells out.

BE PREPARED to have your round ruined by a thoughtless manager/owner who doesn't deserve to be in GOLF at all.

    Customer Service:
Absolutley abissmal in every category!!! This is the worst I've ever experienced at a golf course.

    Similar Courses Played:
Driving Range - $7.00(Large) for a medium sized bucket. Many golf balls in poor shape, about one third not worth hitting. Very few useful yardarge markers for a good practice.

    Summary:
Played 7/4/04.....worst $72 I have spent...sorry $144...my wife played. Course is alright, but it is a $45 facility. No clubhouse (it has only been open close to a decade), no ball washers, incorrect yardage markers (if any at all on the holes), par 3's from the blues that are 120yds......are you kidding me !!!!! No hole numbers on the holes, no diagrams of the holes other than the scorecard, no snack cart, no range balls included (if they were the guy in the trailer never mentioned them). Basically, Shaker Hill is $65.....$7 less and literally 200% better facilty....has a pro shop, clubhouse, bar, correct yardage, etc.

Hell there wasn't even a starter !!!!!! They let twosomes and singles off all day and they were up our ass all afternoon....gee the audacity because we brough them an entire foursome for $288!!!!! Never will I or anyone in my company play this place again. Horrible experience, they still living in their 1998 US Open qualifying round glory but their facilty is a joke a real JOKE !!!!! What did they do with my $72?

    Customer Service:
The only contact we had was the guy that took our money in the trailer....nothing after that...no snack cart no nothing!!!

There are no other parts !!! It is a really big farce as far as I am concerned a horrible waste of $72/round

Reviewed by: James, 2, from Seekonk, MA, USA

    Summary:
Maplegate Country Club is a beautifully landscaped golf course. Aside from being well manicured, the course's design contributes to the course's difficulty. The waterfall on the eighth hole is a tremendous example of how design elements can create an extra demension to what, would otherwise be, an average par 3. To an avid golfer this course can present a challenging and unique experience. It, in my mind, is one of the better public courses in all New England.

    Summary:
Always in pretty good shape, nice fairways, greens could be better.

    Customer Service:
Do yourself a favor a don't bother with this course. Very nasty staff who will try to screw you anyway they can . Before you play , go to a search engine and enter "maplegate staff" and you will find many many bad reviews and other horror stories. I have never heard so many bad things about any one course. Next time you get paired with golfers you don't know ask them about maplegate and you'll see.
