    Summary:
I went here with my college friends 10 years ago and never went back. We called for a tee time for 3 players. When we showed up they told us we had to pay for 4 players to make a foursome. I said we would leave and not play at all and they told us they would charge the card that I reserved the round with for 4 greens fees. Then after paying the price for 4 people for 3 players, the rangers followed us around the whole time and gave us a hard time. Too bad they're jerks, think of all the money they lost from me in the last 10 years since I play golf in central MA 3-4 times a week. The course isn't in good shape anyway and is a very boring layout. Not worth the price they charge by any means.

    Customer Service:
Aweful. The worst of any course I have ever been to.

    Similar Courses Played:
No course has a staff this lousy. The course is similar to Holden Hills or Green Hill in Worcester.

    Summary:
The course is challenging and enjoyable, and it is well kept. Lakeside the newer course is the better of the two courses. Hole 11 on Riverside is one of the most challenging holes I have ever played.

    Customer Service:
Poor, owner and rangers are not customer oriented.

Reviewed by: ChileMass, Shoots in the 90s, from Norwood, MA

    Summary:
Juniper Hills Lakeside is the better course by far. It's more like a Carolina course. The front 9 is very short, and has easy scoring opportunities. And then you get to the back 9 - a whole different story. 10 has a very difficult tee shot, and 13 through 17 are really tough. 14 is a 200-yard par 3 which is all carry over a swamp to a dime-size green. Riverside is just a traditional New England course. Be careful not to upset the staff - the rangers have notoriously short tempers.

    Customer Service:
    Spotty. See above.

    Summary:
I have only played the Lakeside 18, but I have enjoyed it everytime. The course is challenging, and well maintained. The course has a few quirks (start and finish on par 3's) and a couple poorly desinged holes (the drive on 10 is nearly impossible to keep in the fairway), but the course has many different types of holes that requires all the clubs in your bag.

    Customer Service:
    nice staff

Reviewed by: Larry, Shoot in the 90s, from Norfolk, Ma

    Summary:
there are two 18 hole courses at this muni...the Lakeside and the Riverside...I've played both but prefer the Lakeside because it's much more challenging with treed fairways...tee shots over water or swamp etc..the Riverside is very open and reminiscent of olde New England...the price to play is fair and weekday pace of play is fine....good maintenance all around including greens and tees...many of the Lakeside holes are visually appealing with a nice mix to the layout.
