| | Reviewed by: Jeff Winslow, Shoot in the 70s, from Belmont Summary: Belmont is almost always in fine shape. The course is a true Donald Ross test. The greens have ranked up with the best in the state at most times, although occasionally over sanded. Tee boxes are extraordinarily tight. The first hole is about as hard an opening par four as you will see, stretching to 450 from the back of the tee box, and requiring a rather long carry to get the ball on top of a hill in the fairway. The 5th hole is a PGA tour quality par three at about 210 yards, and the par 4 sixth which follows it is also a fine driving hole. My favorite hole on the course is the 16th, a tight par 4 requiring a pin point tee ball between a creek and a pond. The 18th is another solid par 4 finishing hole. Dont miss your chance to play this course. Similar Courses Played: None
