| | Reviewed by: Bob Doane, Shoots in the 90s Summary: Great public course! Extremely well maintained, fairly open fairways, with character. Excellent greens, they putt very nicely. Tee boxes are always in good shape, traps nice as well. The setting is beautiful, along the river, and I found the staff very friendly and accomodating. Very nice clubhouse and lounge. Highly recommended! Customer Service: Everyone at Amherst Country Club was very nice. They are very accomodating to anyone who shows up, not just members. Similar Courses Played: This course is similar to Bretwood in Keene, in terms of difficulty.

| | Reviewed by: marcusgutierrez, Shoots in the 90s Summary: I've only played this course once and I plan on going back often. Very well kept and great layout. Not an overly difficult course. (shot 93) 18 holes with a cart was well worth the $39. Back nine just as good as the front. Customer Service: Brief...went to the pro shop for a bandage for a blister...they gave me two! Similar Courses Played: none

| | Reviewed by: Vossman, Shoots in the 90s Summary: Not a bad course to play. There are several holes in a row on the front 9 that are wide open (4-9 I think) and then the back is all over the place, a nice change. Fairways were OK and the greens were in good shape. Pace was good and that made the day just a bit better. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Customer Service: Pretty good, nothing special though

| | Reviewed by: Bruce, Shoot in the 80s, from Bedford, NH USA Summary: I have played this course off and on for about 8 years. I played there again recently after not having played it for about three years. They have made noticeable improvements in the condition of the course, as well as the greens.
The course is quite lush and green everywhere (maybe because this is the 93 wettest year in the 106 years they have kept records). Most fiarways are wide open, which lulls the Daly-wannabees of the golfing world to pull out the big sticks and go for broke. Thing is, there are some tricky parts that will lay siege to your huge drives if you don't THINK.
Pace of play is somewhat slow. They advertise a lot, and get a fair number of players out there. Leagues just about every day after three. Tee boxes a bit uneven for my tastes. Black flies and mosquitos not bad, considering the Spring. Rough is fair, though brutal in spots.
A decent value at $30 bucks for 18 (walking mid-week). Customer Service: Tee times are easy to get. Similar Courses Played: Restaurant is OK, not great. Golf shop items for sale are pricey.
