| | Reviewed by: Busey, Shoots in the 90s Summary: I used to work here back in my college days, and learned to play golf on the West Course (now the Palmer Course). West is more "target" type golf, with some forced carries. The Banks course is a whole different type of experience, with excellent greens, vastly undulating fairways and DEEP bunkers. As an employee, I used to be able to play here for free. I kinda miss those days...

| | Reviewed by: David Fried, Shoots in the 80s, from East Brunswick, NJ Summary: Two courses, one good (the Palmer) and one great (the Banks). One could play the Banks forever and never tire of it. Customer Service: Excellent Similar Courses Played: Food runs from good to excellent. The dining room serves some fine meals.

| | Reviewed by: philip Maldari, Shoots in the 70s, from Brooklyn, New York Summary: Excellent courses. The fairways are friendly for the average golfer on the Palmer, but watch out on the Banks. The average golfer(Shoots in the 80's would probably shoot 100 on the Banks. Customer Service: Excellent Similar Courses Played: Beautiful views and very calm atmosphere.

| | Reviewed by: the gock, Shoot in the 90s, from mars, pa, usa Summary: forsgate was built in 1931 by charles forster. he commissioned charles 'steamshovel' banks to design a course with replicas of notable golf holes in the british isles. chuckie lived up to his name.
the bunkers are the deepest outside of la quinta. regularly the careless golfer is confronted with a ten foot wall of sod between him or her and the green. the greens are the high point of the course. they are plush, true and among the most vertical in the country. chuckie didn't let his steamshovel rest greenside.
the range and practice facilities are first rate.
an old course, the tree lined fairways are tall and thick. they also fed the rough. the pro shot 73. a seven shot 88. the big hitter shot 90.
with the exception of 12, the par threes carry quite a bit of distance.
the only flaw is the lack of caddies. Customer Service: excellent Similar Courses Played: 24
