| | Reviewed by: wmmiller, Shoots in the 80s Summary: Whiteface Club is part of the Whiteface resort in Lake Placid. This is a very well-kept course with plush (and fast)undulating greens. It is not a particualry long course (6000 yds from the whites) but it has many doglegs and tighter-than-normal fairways. Most of the doglegs go left... so a driver off the tee that doesn't shape the fairway can find its way into the woods. There are quite a few elevation changes so don't hesitate using a cart. Being a resort, the price is rather steep and could run over $100. It is a nice course, but not a $100 course. Watch out for the ponds on 18. You can see the one on the left, but there is one on the right as well. Customer Service: Nice people, small pro shop and restaurant nearby. There is a practice range, but it didn't look like you could use a driver. Small putting green.
