Summary:
For $28 (off season) this is a steal. Reg season this weekend round would have cost $80. The course was in great shape for Nov. It is a very well designed layout. The greens have true roll and are undulating and challenging. Fairways and bunkers were in great shape. A must play. The round does get to be long. We walked and played at a fairly good speed and it still took us about 4:40 to finish. Since this is links style there is a lot of walking involved. I wish I could play there every weekend.

Customer Service:
Starters are very courteous and polite.

Summary:
a beautiful 2 year old course. lush and green. however when we made the tee time we were not advise that there was a family reunion of about 30 golfers (and i use that term extremely loosly) that would be out in front of us, some of which should be in a nursing home and not on a golf course. we waited on every tee and fairway. it took 5 hours to play 17 holes. we got to the 18th tee and there was a 4some just leaving the tee and 2 more 4somes waiting to tee off. we were at the 5 hour round by then and looking at close to 6 hours. while the rangers were polite enough to recognoze the horrid pace of play and tell us abuot it (i guess they thought we were unaware of the pace since we were standing around waiting) they allowed these people, some of which have never played golf before, to continue play after the turn. the proper thing to do would have been to advise us of the situation when we made our tee time so we could reconsider playing that day on that course, but all makefield was interested in was dollar signs. speaking of dollar sings they charged us weekend rates to play golf on a friday. i don't know about anyone else but i was always thought and my employer pays me as if friday were a weekday. as a matter of fact i was on vacation that day specifically to play golf. that is the one thing i did not do. i waited and stood around and occasionally got to hit a golf ball but the pace of play was so snail like that you could not develop any rythem in your game. hey makefield! friday is a weekday not the weekend stop gouging prices already. i saw the beverage girl several times but she had very little in the way of snacks but was well stocked on beer. they might want to think about putting in a roving hot dog stand or something since you can count on being out there for well over 5 hours and you'll get very hungry.

Customer Service:
fair at best. polite people but the dollars are more important then customer service.

Similar Courses Played:
i've played a lot of courses but none was as bad as this for pace and consideration of customers.
