    Summary:
Would be a decent public course but might be the worst private country club I ever played. You have to hop in a cart and drive about one mile to the driving range crossing a dangerouis road along the way. Alot of screwy doglegs on course. Leave the driver at home. A short hitter can hit driver but any decent ball striker will hit thru the doglegs and find too much trouble with the big stick. It's a position course for sure with no signature holes whatsoever. No elevation changes or anything special. It's well maintained. Greens roll true. Tees and fairways are nice. One dull par four in particular requires you to wait for traffic to clear before you hit your tee shot over the public road. Course is pretty tight but if you hit the fairways on the par 5's you can really attack them for easy birdies. Most par 4's are 3-wood off the tee and some type of wedge as long as you keep it out of the trees. Two par 3's are quite short and only require about a 9-iron. Course plays much shorter than it's yardage with all the doglegs and such but it's still quite tricky. I prefer a golf course that allows you to stand on the tee and visualize how the hole was designed to be played. This course leaves you guessing until you play it a few times. Silver Creek is only a few miles from this course and is a far better golf course. Very scenic, challenging and fair. Silver Creek is the best kept secret in area. When I was looking to join somewhere I never considered Northamptom. I would get bored playing there and the layout is too screwy for me. This course reminds me more of Brookside than anything. Both looney golf courses. Here is how I would rate the local private course on a scale of 1-10:
    Saucon Weyhill -10
    Saucon Old course-10
    Lehigh CC -10
    Saucon Grace -8.5
    Moselem Springs -8
    Silver Creek CC -8
    Brookside -6.5
    Berkleigh -6.5
    Northampton -5

Now this is comparing it to the best in area so take it for what it is worth

If Northampton was public it would get about an 8....
