| | Reviewed by: Sparman, Shoots in the 80s Summary: Nemacolin has 2 courses, Links and Mystic Rock. Links is less prestigious. Most holes are straight and offer little shotmaking challenge, although the back nine is more demanding. The setting is pleasant and the course is well-cared for. Mid-price.
Mystic Rock is a top 50 rated resort course and has been used for a PGA event. It is much more demanding - not impossible, but requires more shotmaking and is more punishing of bad shots. Nice variety of hole layouts - long and short par 5s and 4's, elevation changes, water, forced carries, other hazards. A forecaddy is required. It is also well maintained. Also much more expensive.
Both courses are pleasant, but Links is better if you're not up to a test. Rating 4 because 3 seems too low, but I wold not say I love the place. Customer Service: Excellent. Everyone very helpful.
