| | Reviewed by: Dan Reuter, Shoot in the 80s, from Pittsburgh, PA Summary: River Forest is an excellent course that is well maintained. It's not exceptionally long, but you better keep your ball in the fairway. It's also a great course to walk. The greens are kept in good condition, and they could be characterized as being undulating, with some of them have severe slopes (#6 & 16). There is a lot of charater to this course, and it is fun to play. The new owners have done a great job renovating #8, so that the cart path no longer comes into play. There is also an additional nine holes on the top of the hill that doesn't have as much play as the original 18. This is great for the golfer who can sneak away for a quick nine, but doesn't have a tee time. The course doesn't have the character of the original layout, but is still fun to play. Customer Service: The new owners are doing a wonderful job with the course. But, we still miss you Mr. Tredway Similar Courses Played: The new owners have done a wonderful job renovating the club house and pro shop facilities.
