| | Reviewed by: donovan_hammond, Shoots in the 80s Summary: there is no denying that these courses are very nice, however, they are way overpriced. They charge big time fees and I don't think they are ready for the big time. Maintenence was questionable the rough was extremely high and the bunkers and tee boxes were cheesy. The scenery is beautiful. Customer Service: average

| | Reviewed by: Paul Mickelson, Shoots in the 100s, from Chambersburg, PA Summary: Penn Nationals two courses are fine; however, there's so many courses in the area that are a much better value that one would have to have excessive discretionary income in order to justify playing these courses. Customer Service: Average Similar Courses Played: Snack bar prices try to keep in line with green fees, i.e. excessive.

| | Reviewed by: brian snider, Shoot in the 80s, from rochester, new york, usa Summary: I must agree with the previous review generally. The staff is always nice and helpful. The course layout is great, both the Founders and Iron Forge. Tees are good, greens very good, Medium-semi fast speed. Fairway bunkers are very good also- however, if the course wants to charge the amount they do (60$ with cart on weekends) they must add some ssand to the greensside bunkers. There is nothing worse than hitting one of the Numerous greenside bunkers, and blading the ball out of it ddue to lack of sand! I am a pretty decent bunker player, and there is more sand in the FAIRWAY bunkers than the greenside bunkers!!!! Similar Courses Played: Golf shop- well stocked Range- could have a bigger hitting area- but adequate. Pro- Had some major swing problems- was able to get a lesson on short notice- pro was VERY helpful!!!

| | Reviewed by: Jeff Reed, Shoot in the 90s, from Beaver, PA Summary: There are 2 courses at this club the Founders and the Iron Forge, both are fantastic and completely oposite of each other. First the Iron Forge, a course reminding me of Scotland, no Trees just narrow fairways cut through acres of tall grasses. Second, Founders, the typical pennsylvania course with tons of trees and narrow fairways. Both courses are maintained beautifully. perfect, true greens and wonderfully manicured fairways Similar Courses Played: Nice proshop and wonderful staff, they kept our bags overnight and had our clubs shining the next morning.
