| | Reviewed by: Fred Exley, Shoot in the 80s, from New York, New York, USA Summary: This course has been beautifully maintained since it became municipally owned several years ago. The tees, fairways, and greens are almost always in excellent shape, although the greens are usually quite slow and without much break (with a few exceptions).
The course is of medium length, with accommodating fairways for those who spray the ball a bit. It is inexpensive and has a huge new driving range with cheap balls and lots of natural turf. Basically, Overlook is a great course to play if you're looking for a mature course that is a legitimate par 70, but not among the most challenging in the area. With the addition of several new greens and a new sixth hole in 2002, however, it just keeps getting better. Similar Courses Played: Nice inexpensive counterservice restaurant with large patio, great new teaching pro.
