    Summary:
I was a member of this course a few years ago (until we moved out of the area). I really loved playing this course, it has a great variety of holes and terrain. It was always in excellent condition. It is very typical of Nicklaus' recent designs, with the need to work the ball off the tee for the best opportunity to score and relatively straight-forward greens. The par 3's are pretty challenging, especially the first one on the back 9. Definitely deserving 5 stars. From what I read about it appears the course is still open to the public; this may always be the case as this course is off the beaten track and there isn't much money for private golf memberships in the Poconos. Definitely the best course in the area, and as good as anything in North Eastern Jersey.

    Customer Service:
The staff here is incredibly friendly and really do their job well. Excellent team.

    Similar Courses Played:
Many of the courses in the area. Blows away the other local courses.

    Summary:
If you like to golf and you want a place to test your skills make the trip to this phenomenal course. Words can not describe this fabulous layout. Each hole is it's own hole. At this point it is semi private but looking for more members to become totally private. Take advantage of the opportuninty to play it now before it is to late. Most picturesque hole is #7. Most difficult holes are #3 and #11 for each side. Greens are somewhat undulating and they hold rather well. They also roll true throughout the year. It can be a very lengthy course if you do not strike your ball solid. Consistenty is a must to score well on this monster. Smart golf is the only way to play it. If you choose to take chances you can pay the price quickly. Strokes will pile-up rapidly do to the tight fairways, water hazards, woods, and some deep bunkers. Be prepared for a challenge. GET AN EXCELLENT NIGHT SLEEP!!!

    Customer Service:
Overall, this is a fabulous course considering the area. The course is well taken care of and you can not go wrong playing this course at least once.

Prices are a little high, but you have to remember that it will be a private country club one day. Some of the best teaching professionals in the area. Take advantage of it!
