    Summary:
Frankly I'm confused over reviewer "Dave's" comments. This is a fantastic course and well worth the cost of the green fees. I played this course on a Saturday and had a noon tee time. My group played the course in less than four hours and were never held up for any reason. The fairways were well groomed and the greens were meticulously manicured. Perhaps reviewer "Dave" had a bad day; I would be interested to know if the group that followed "Dave" complained of slow play.

    Customer Service:
Terrific, the clubhouse staff, the course marshall, and the refreshment cart personnel were all extremely helpful and friendly.

Reviewed by: Dave, Shoot in the 70s, from York Co.

    Summary:
Don't waste the $50 or so to play this course. Totally overpriced. It's really a 20-30 dollar track. Not enough land was purchased to build 18 good holes, so they had to cram them in. The first two holes on the front run side by side with the first two on the back, so invariably guys are playing out of the wrong fairway, slowing everything up. Just when things get going, you run headlong into the fifth hole, a drop hole par 3 (150-160 yds) with a shallow 2 tier green built into the side of a steep hill. Be prepared to wait upwards of 30 min. to tee off as very few players can actually hit the d@mn thing from the tee. Next comes the short (290 yd) par 4 6th. What a piece of work this gem is. Impossible to hold the fairway, its only about 30 ft at its widest point, and slopes severely from right to left. Woods if you go even a little bit left. your only recourse is to hit it up in the tall grass on the upper right side and pray it doesn't stay there. Other holes also leave you scratching your head from a course design stand point.

The greens never really are in that great of shape. They putt inconsistently and are often bumpy. The rest of the course is in decent enough shape, but the layout makes this point moot.

In case you haven't guessed, allow 5.5 to 6 hours to finish. The staff is friendly enough, but either does know how to speed up play, or simply doesn't give a $h!t.

Indeed this is a RESORT, and the rest of the place is first class. Great bar, restaurant, locker rooms, and hotel. But, that's not why we're here is it?

Simply put, if you're coming up from Baltimore or DC, go to Springwood or Honey Run.
