    Summary:
Greens are always immaculate and roll perfectly. Course is very tight with small elevated greens. Members typically have good short games because missed greens leads to tough up-and-downs to fast putting surfaces. Greens on average in season stimp around 11 but can be higher. Better golfers should leave driver in the bag on most holes. Keeping it in play here is vitally important. Greens are so perfect that you feel like you can drain one from anywhere. Tough to get a putt over 25 feet because greens are so small. From back tees I only hit driver on holes 1,3,4,10,11 and 14 and thats probablt too many. Hole 13 is a severe dog-leg right par 5. If you purposely snap hook a high driver around the corner and over the pines you can leave yourself about 150 yards to the flag. Green however is severely sloped from back to front and fast as hell. Hole 12 is about a 115 yard par 3 over a small ravine. Green is small surrounded by traps. Hit it short and you bring 6 into the equation because their is a good chance of finding it once you tackle the hill to get to search for it. My favorite hole is #10. A downhill, slight dog-leg left par 4. I bomb a high driver over the trees and leave my tee ball just short of the creek for a fun 40-50 yard chip over the creek to a sloped green. But once in awhile I lose it right and end up dead in the maintanance area. Finishing holes are a disappointment. 17 is a ho-hum par 3 of about 170 yards and 18 is a short dog-leg right par 4. You can't hit driver on 18 because it will go thru the leg or into the pond on the right. Need a 240 yard tee shot and a 8 or 9-iron to finish the day. Not nearly as good as Lehigh CC or Saucon Valley CC but better than Northampton CC and Berkleigh CC in my opinion. Not worth the entrance fee by any means. I'd rather pay a few thousand more and join Lehigh which is a much better layout and a more scenic course with the best practice area around.....

    Summary:
Brookside CC is one of the best golf courses i have ever played. It has a variety of holes from short par threes to long par fives. It is well kept with the rough being one of the hardest to get out of in Eastern PA. The fairways are kept nice and it is a great course to play. The greens are very challenging and there are very difficult chip shots with elevated greens.
