| | Reviewed by: ballyhip, Shoots in the 80s Summary: Replayed Winnapaug after an absense of at least 20 years. I was shocked at the condition of the fairways and tees. I meant to ask them if they had restrictions on water or fertilizers but I forgot to ask. The four holes on the beach side where slightly better. The greens were being top dressed so I cannot comment on their condition. The layout is interesting within the limits of the topography and acreage. It shares the same limitations with its first class, very private neighbor, Misquamicut, but that is where the similarity ends. I learned to play golf as a caddy at Oakley CC in Watertown, MA which was Donald Ross's first job as a professional after arriving from Scotland. Winnapaug does him no honor in its present condition. Customer Service: Excellent pro and service staff. A pleasure to deal with them. Similar Courses Played: Misquamicut, Connemara, Rosses Point, Fresh Pond Municipal, Oakley CC.

| | Reviewed by: Alex Duddley, Shoots in the 70s, from Ledyard, CT Summary: If Donald Ross came within 20 miles of this place I'll eat my Big Bertha. The layout is laughable and the conditions are horrid. The goal at this place is to run as many greens fees through as possible. It's awful.

| | Reviewed by: pete cavanaugh, Shoots in the 100s, from dalton, MA Summary: typical Ross, small greens that are convex or concave, good luck trying to stay below the hole, important to be straight rather than long, distance control is rewarded Customer Service: very good, early season special, golf, cart, lunch, 35 dollars
