RICC is a true test of golf, with no trickery involved. Lying nestled along the Rhode Island coastline RICC stares you in the face and encourages you to think as hard as you play. There are risks to take that have rewards making them worth the attempt. From the tips, the course appears daunting at times but the fairways give you a good roll if you hit it correctly. Some holes allow plenty of room for an errant drive, others do not. All greens have bunkers around them but none that make the approach unfairly tricky. The true joy of RICC is seen in the greens. Year after year they roll with tremendous consistency and speed. If you are fortunate enough to play this course, come early and stay late.
