| | Reviewed by: The Ank, Shoots in the 80s Summary: This is a tough course. This year it has been in great shape.. Triggs plays very long, and you will be hitting Driver, mid/long iron on a lot of par 4s. Weird having this course right in downtown Providence.. You never know who you will see here.. Joey No Neck and Tony the Hand have been known to frequent Triggs.. Better play fast, or they will hand out beatdowns.. Customer Service: Off and on... Some great people there.. Some guys that break balls if you are 14 seconds late for a tee time.. Similar Courses Played: Great in town rates for Prov residents

| | Reviewed by: Mike , Shoots in the 80s, from RI Summary: Course is in incredible shape. Quick, true greens, deep rough, and
tight fairways. Beiginners please stay home. Holes 2-3 may be the
toughest back to back holes in the state (especially with prevailing
winds). Triggs is a true municipal masterpiece by Donald Ross. Customer Service: pro shop Similar Courses Played: Bar is usually good but closed at 3:30 on
a Saturday. Made ther turn after 9 just
begging for a beer and was turnred away.

| | Reviewed by: Matthew Dawson, Shoot in the 80s, from East Providence Summary: This is far and away the best public course in Rhode Island. A true test for any golfer who understands the nuances of a Donald Ross design. No easy holes and you will need just about every type of shot in your bag. This is not the place to play your first round, it is very long and the rough is deep. Just surviving the opening three holes is a challenge by itself. The one aspect of Triggs that sets it apart from other public courses are the greens. Given the amount of play this track gets the outstanding condition of the greens are a miracle. No matter what your background, if you love golf you have to play this course. Similar Courses Played: The restaurant is excellent. Some of the best food you will ever find at a public course.

| | Reviewed by: Fred, Shoot in the 80s, from Providence Summary: Well maintained tees, fairways and greens. The entire course is in great shape. The rough is exactly that...rough. The first hole is easy after that all bets are off. This ain't yo momma's golf course. This is a players golf course. Newbies should consider an easier golf course or they'll just wind up frustrated. Customer Service: Management does not cater to the public player (even though this is a public course). If you are a member of the inner-club you get treated with some respect. Management thinks they are doing you a favor by letting you play there. You are never made to feel welcome. Because of this fact I give the overall rating a 3. Similar Courses Played: The food from the restaurant is good.

| | Reviewed by: Ron Lamothe, Shoot in the 80s, from North Providence Summary: This is one of Rhode Island's best courses. The layout is difficult and the greens are always very fast. It is a very well maintained course. Customer Service: Very hard to get a tee time. Similar Courses Played: None
