| | Reviewed by: JohnD#1, Shoots in the 80s Summary: I agree totally. They had a perfect place to make a butifely course and didnt do well. The Fair ways are the worst fair ways I have every played on the are bald of almost all the grass and have the grass thatyou said all of the place. AND HARD! holy crap i played there in the rain and the fairways are hard as a ROCK! Its hard to hit the ball with good contact. I have actually broken a clube trying to hit it from the fairway. and found out that there was a rock all around the fairways. Terrible course had good potental but never got there. Customer Service: not bad Similar Courses Played: N/A

| | Reviewed by: Gator, Shoots in the 70s Summary: This would be a nice place to " Start " a golf course... This is the worst golf course I have played on in Vermont. The sad thing is the course has a really nice layout but the owners of Essex Country Dump forgot that you have to take care of the course. The greens don't get cut but every other day!! Which puzzles me since they don't have to mow the tee box's at all since they are nothing but dirt! No idea where the fairway starts and the rough begins and several holes have what look like construction sites on them that have been there for years. I would truly hate to see anyone waste there time or money at this dump... too many other good courses in the area. Customer Service: ok Similar Courses Played: Driving Range is a joke. They have you standing on a plywood box and hitting up hill on the owners front yard of his house.

| | Reviewed by: mpodivot, Shoots in the 70s Summary: Golfers who enjoy well maintained fairways, manicured aprons and an a lack of mosquitos, look.....elsewhere. This course boasts one of the best stables of low handicappers in the state, who seem to enjoy the 3 inches of dew on the course every morning, a plethora of chickweed in the fairways that would choke a horse, and a refreshment stand that prides itself on microwaving frozen hot dogs. The greens are awesome when the sun melts the dew, but hope you chose one of the three days a week that they are mowed...The members at this course practice masochism..play at your own risk! Customer Service: Great...it should be since none of the greens fees go to course maintenance! Similar Courses Played: Nice practice green
