| | Reviewed by: WMitch6, Shoots in the 80s Summary: The course is an odd mix of links type layout for the front nine and a back nine that is a semi boring woodland dogtrack. Maintenance is mediocre at best and the grounds crew that I've run in to were all jerks. The front nine layout is very good but poor upkeep keeps the course from reaching it's full potential. Elevated tees on most of the par 3's seem tricked up. The back nine is a bunch of mostly forgetable holes with the possible exception of 18.
I play Alburg whenever I'm in the area but mostly because it's the only game in town. I'm hoping the new owners will hire a professional course super and put a little money back into the course.
Customer Service: Good restaurant with a small proshop.

| | Reviewed by: Terry Spriggs, Shoots in the 100s, from Brossard,Quebec,Canada Summary: Used to shoot between 80 and 90 when I played this course 30 to 35 years ago. The old folks owned it then and when we parked under the apple trees, two old and very friendly dogs greeted us. Paid approximately $9.00 Canadian back then and were allowed to play 2 x 18 hole rounds and another 9 holes! Today, I visited the new club house and the memories came back.Looking forward to returning with the golf clubs and getting further re-acquanited with all 18 holes. Got turned off 10 years ago when I refused to pay extra(holiday rate)for 24 June (Quebec holiday) in Vermont. Hope this practice has been discontinued. Customer Service: Friendly service from server ex: Republic of Checklosovakia(excuse the possible mis-spell). Similar Courses Played: Comments below refer to the way it used to be. I can only assume that the physical maintenance of the golf course has been improved. Have to play it once again before I can answer the following questi

| | Reviewed by: Patrick , Shoots in the 80s Summary: Alburg Country Club is the best course I have ever played for the amount of money it costs. It is not extremely challenging but the views of the lake and the cool weather makes up for it. If the course is in peak condition it can make for a very fun day of golf. Customer Service: Excellent

| | Reviewed by: Justin , Shoots in the 80s Summary: This course plays a good round for very little money($20) and under. Not a lot of trouble out there but it is a long course at 6500+ yards last time I checked. The long holes really do have a lot of open fairway to let 'er rip and stay safe most of the time thats probably why I like it. Customer Service: adequete but nothing special. Similar Courses Played: Eat out on the deck and enjoy an amazing view of the lake!!!!!! makes food better which is decent.
