| | Reviewed by: Roy 1, Shoots in the 80s Summary: This course is located in the vacation area of Lake Tahoe. It sees a lot of vacation traffic. It's a pretty course and as in the previous review the front 9 is in the meadow. Flat and with not much trouble. The back 9 is what makes this course interesting. It runs through the hills with many interesting lies, hidden flags, dog legs and other challenges. You've got to think about the back 9 and it is what makes this course worth playing. Conditions were disappointing. Thin fairways, especially the back 9. Greens were slow with bare spots and were rather hard. Not to dissimilar to some muni courses. Also due to all the vacationers rounds can be very long. Ours was 5 1/2 hours. Rates are $95. Way out of line for these conditions. However, everybody seems to have some sort of a discout coupon here, 10-play tickets, High Sierra golf pass, West Coast golf book, etc. Most of these 2-for 1's make the course an ok buy. Has a driving range but it is on mats. ?xD;?xA;Also has putting greens and a small chipping area. Customer Service: Okay. Similar Courses Played: Nice restaurant and bar.

The back nine shoots through the trees and is very much target golf. Play it late summer, early fall when Northstar offers a package deal with free golf for staying there and you cannot go wrong. (Value Rating is considering the free rounds when staying in a condo there). Customer Service: Very good. If you have flexibility, see about teeing it up early on the back and play it twice on your own before the front nine groups hit the 10th. Very enjoyable and you still have the rest of the
