| | Reviewed by: epa, Shoots in the 70s Summary: This is one of northern California's gems. Nestled in a Redwood grove along side the Russian River this course was originally built for the exclusive use of members of "The Bohemian Club". Today it is a publnk that gets lots of play. The greens and bunkering are classic examples of McKenzie's work. Enjoy! Customer Service: Good Similar Courses Played: One of the better sports bars on the Sonoma County coast

| | Reviewed by: Roy 1, Shoots in the 80s Summary: A beautiful regulation shortish 9-hole course in the redwoods designed by Alastair McKenzie. You can see his fingerprints on it on the par 3s by the placement of sand bunkers. The course is not overly difficult. Good for all levels of play. It's challenge comes in some of the narrow fairways with the old trees. Tremendous ambience. Some of the tee boxes are pretty ratty due to the shade. Fairways are nice, a little thin here and there. Surprisingly, the greens are much better than average with lots of complexity. The course sees a good deal of action. But pace is pretty decent. A lot of fun. Well worth playing. Easy to walk. About $30. Customer Service: Good Similar Courses Played: Has a nice restaurant nearby, with a deck that sits right on the first tee. Nice to have a beer and be amused for a while.
