This was my first time playing here. Fees were pretty low for a Saturday morning. I played the north course (Earl Fry). I hear the south course is a link style with large greens. The North course is relatively short so we played from the black tees. Watch out for #15 a 196 yard par 3 with water to carry the whole distance. The tee boxes, fairways were in decent shape. I can't say the same about the greens. Although I spent a lot of time fixing old and new divots on each green, the old hole placements were all brown and on a few, a grid of dead grass could be seen. I was told it was due to the irrigation built into the greens. Another annoyance was the lack of signage. There is a lot of distance between some greens and the next tee and a lot criss crossing of holes. Fortunately 2 in my foursome had course knowledge. I found this course less windy then Monarch Bay just a few miles to the south. Bottom line, bang for the buck it is an okay course and if you're trying to beat the heat, a good place to go. Case in point, when I left it was 73 degrees. Fifteeen minutes to the east, it was 23 degrees hotter. Customer Service:

This is my local course and I must say they have done quite a bit of work to it. Added/rebuilt several tee boxes, added traps in strategic places, and added definition to the fareways. The greens vary, but one will not be different from the others. Usually depends on weather. Similar Courses Played:
Good food, great jrs. golf program.

Fairly wide fairways, and big greens. Tee-box condition is pretty decent for a muni course. Wish I could say the same about the fairways and the greens. Marshalls are fairly relaxed. If you are a beginner, you might want to play here, because the Marshalls don't give you much pressure to play faster. Only about 2 or 3 holes on the South cours have somewhat interesting and challanging layouts. Price is fairly cheap compare to other courses in the Bay Area. Similar Courses Played:
Greens placed at various distances. Excellent for working on your accuracy.

the course is always well maintained. more so the north course than the south course. the more challenging golfer would enjoy the north course. the south course plays longer and actually a stroke more difficult. however, the north course provides more course management skills. the greens roll relativley slow. tee boxes are always mowed and maintained.
