| | Reviewed by: netfli, Shoots in the 90s Summary: I played this course for the second time this week and had a pretty good time except for the extremely slow pace of play. It took us nearly 4.5 hours to complete a relatively short course. Some of the holes are pretty challenging in the back 9. It is well maintained and is a bargain if you play in the twilight or super-twilight time like me. I would recommend to the high-mid handicappers who want to try out a nice course. There is also a lot of wild life in this course as I came across a lot of deer and interesting birds. Customer Service: I did not have too much of an issue making a reservation and the staff seemed pretty good to me. Similar Courses Played: Sunken Garden, Pruneridge, Blackberry

| | Reviewed by: jfanoe, Shoots in the 80s Summary: This is probably the best executive course in the area. My friends and I have only recently started playing it, but it's always the course of choice when we don't have time for a full sized 18 or when we're taking out a beginner. The course really has something for everyone. The fairways are wide open for the beginners, but for more advanced golfers there are a lot of different ways to approach some of these holes. One in particular is the 289 yard 11th, that looks driveable on the card, but is next to impossible in practice. That having been said, the par 4s are a really short. I think the 4th hole is listed as a 224 yard par 4, but typically plays more like a 200 yard hole, and should really be downgraded to a par 3. The only justification for keeping it as a par 4 is that it's a blind shot at the green from the tee box. I really like the bunker placement at this course. For the most part, they really make you rethink your club selection. I'm steadily learning to club up on quite a few of the holes as a result of the traps. The course is also kept in really good condition. The greens are a little bumpy in some spots and the 3rd hole can get a little chopped up, but for the most part the course is clean, with really well kept sand, which I've noticed is rare for executive courses in this area. The staff at Deep Cliff is kind of hit or miss. Sometimes they are really nice, other times they are unnecessarily rude. They have a tendancy to not pick up the phone as well.

| | Reviewed by: Athought, Shoots in the 90s, from San Jose Summary: I play Deep Cliff on Saturdays. I have never had a problem getting on, or with the pace of play. The marshall was a good ole guy that knew his course. The clubhouse had a couple of guys that are far from "school" age. Everyone was pleasant, and helpful. This par 60 course challenges you with your irons, and short game. The scratch golfer I played with last Saturday even posted a 69. If you are looking to work your short game, and don't have time to play a real long course, then Deep Cliff has what you need. Customer Service: Great service. Clubhouse man, Good marshall (kept us informed of play ahead), and even the guy that made my lunch afterwards!

| | Reviewed by: redryder, Shoots in the 80s Summary: The first two reviewers must have been here on a bad day. I play here quite often and, other than the slow play, have never experienced the difficulties. To the contrary, the staff is always courteous and professional with me. (Sometimes rude begats rude) In late afternoon (4ish) the deer come down from the hills to graze on the fairways and the rabbits, also. Played from the tips, this can be a quite challenging "executive" course. A good place to party. Customer Service: Excellent!! A golfer can order food from the snack bar from a phone on either the ninth or the eighteenth tee. Nice touch.. Similar Courses Played: As of this date they are adding new landscaping to the tees and changing some traps.. nice touch...

| | Reviewed by: Michael, Shoot in the 90s, from San Jose,CA,USA Summary: This is an 18 hole executive course. When my friends and I were golfing; the course marshall must have been a high schooler. He wasn't very courteous, intelligent, or intelligible. They were letting all these twosomes play on a saturday separately screwing up the pace of play for everyone else. They should have teamed all the twosomes together. Won't be going back there. They have a MAJOR LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE! Similar Courses Played: None
