| | Reviewed by: rogerk, Shoots in the 90s Summary: Two different courses here - Butterfield Stage and Chino Creek. Butterfield is a much more wide-open layout. The course is still challenging, but can also help to build confidence in your game. I hadn't played this course in a while, but smart plays will help you minimize your score.
Chino Creek and Butterfield are two completely different courses. While Butterfield is a challenging confidence builder, Chino Creek (from what I can remember) is just challenging.
I'll be playing Chino Creek this weekend and will post a review soon for that. From what I remember, it is a much tighter and less forgiving track (almost no parallel holes = lost balls if they're not where they should be vs. being on the next hole's fairway).
Overall this place is a pretty good value at $52 to ride on weekends. Rounds are usually pretty good on time (4:30 - 5 hrs). Greens are pretty forgiving and run a little slow when you're on them, but not bad.
Fairways were in good shape last time I played as well. Customer Service: Can be up and down - had an issue with the starter on having a spectator with us last time out. Similar Courses Played: Rancho San Joaqquin - Irvine, Indian Hills - Riverside

SAND TRAPS WHERE MOSTLY DRIE AND PLAYABLE ONLY SEEN ONE WITH DEEP WATER. SERVICE IS FRIENDLY. COW SMELL WAS NOT A PROBLEM, BUT ADDS TO AN INTERESTING SIGHT WHILE PLAYING. | | Reviewed by: Kevin, Shoot in the 80s, from Irvine, Ca Summary: Nice course for a great price. Its 25 bucks to ride and is a great course. It is out in the middle of nowhere and near cows and if you are down wind from cows bring a clothes pin for your nose. But nicely kept even though I have seen workers taking the occasional weed break. Similar Courses Played: None
