Fun course. Older style, set in the beautiful hilly country near Solvang and Reagan's ranch, 45 minutes north of Santa Barbara. Play is limited to guests of the Alisal Guest Ranch (worth it in it'elf..great for families) adjacent to the course. Front nine is tight in places, back nine opens up a little more, but seems to play several strokes tougher than front. Greens were in great shape despite summer heat. Course plays true...what you see is what you get. 17 is a killer, Drive of less than 260 yards leaves blind long iron into green. Unusual in that both 9 and 18 are par threes. Customer Service:
